Open Caption Movie Club was inspired by my Dad, Ernie.

For many years, Ernie has had profound hearing loss.  And for many years, I watched as he struggled with closed captioning devices of all sorts. Then, when we discovered that some movie theaters were showing movies with open captioning and no clunky “gadgets”, we thought AT LAST.  

But…Ernie almost never went to movies with open captions. When I asked him why not, he told us that it was too much of a hassle to FIND them!

That’s when I had the inspiration to create an easy way for anyone to find open caption movie showtimes…and Open Caption Movie Club aka OCMovieClub was born!

We hope OCMovieClub will help millions of people find open caption movie showtimes and - more importantly - we hope OCMovieClub helps YOU enjoy going to the movies again!

After all, if more of us buy tickets to open captioned movies, then movie theaters will start showing MORE MOVIES with open captions.
